It is a pleasure to interview ShowStopper568 a.k.a. Kevin Ramos for the Sweet Scoop.

Kevin is a 22-year-old YouTuber from New London, Connecticut, although he is originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico. He started his YouTube channel in 2012, after becoming inspired by Markiplier, a popular YouTuber and gamer-commentator.

Also known as ShowStopper568, Kevin took on the name after searching for a unique name for his channel profile and picked the one that was available at the time, and that sounded the best.

He says he started learning about YouTube and researching how to start a channel "late in his youth." He also researched ways how YouTubes made themselves marketable by creating content such as vlogs, ASMR, and gaming videos.

Kevin cites Markiplier as his role model and inspiration. "He's the reason why I started in the first place, and why I took the risk to make my own YouTube channel," says Kevin.

He is currently in the progress of working on his second YouTube channel which will feature vlogs and upcoming promotional events. As for releasing future content on his channel, Kevin says he is still formulating ideas and deciding which horror games to play for next year such as The Suffering, The Suffering: Ties That Bind, and Resident Evil Village, which is the 8th installment in the franchise.

In this edition of Q&A, ShowStopper568 a.k.a. Kevin, elaborated on why he is a fan of horror games, shared what is his favorite thing about the Resident Evil game series, and his favorite vacation spot to visit.

Bridney C: You are a fan of horror games. Why? What was the first game you got into?

Kevin Ramos: The suspense, the gory, the spookiness, and everything else about horror games brings me more joy than any other genre. The fact that I get scared makes me smile on the inside. It's weird, but fun. It's also a love-hate relationship I have with horror games. The first horror game I played was a game called Apartment327. I never finished it due to bugs and awkward gameplay, but it motivated me to continue playing horror type games.

BC: You are also a huge fan of the Resident Evil series. What is your favorite thing about Resident Evil? Do you have a favorite Resident Evil game out of the series?

KR: I think Resident Evil will always be a special spot forever gamer out there it's such an iconic game, if you ask anyone about Resident Evil I'm sure you'll get the exact response. As for my favorite, it is honestly hard to choose a specific one, from the original to the 8th installment of the series. I love and enjoy every single one, but probably Resident Evil 3 takes the cake.

BC: If you could be any Resident Evil character, who would you be and why?

KR: Easy, Carlos for some odd reason and I mean come on the guy almost looks like me, it's a no brainer. To be honest, he is just a badass in general. The guts and determination that he possesses have made him one of my favorites.

BC: What else do you do besides gaming? What is your favorite hobby or hobbies?

KR: Besides gaming, I try my best anything really from reading a book or try to hang with my friends in my spare time. Sometimes I even play games casually, write some poems, or even write some short movie scripts in my spare time just to make things interesting and enjoyable.

BC: Have you ever had any setbacks and if so, what were some of them? How were you able to overcome those setbacks?

KR: I had a moment in my life where I struggled to live in a stable place. A place that I could call home. At that point in my life, I wasn't happy with how my life was going. I went through stress and depression. I didn't upload for 3 months straight to focus on my personal life, and it was honestly the hardest thing I had to go through. My inner voice told me to keep trying and never give up. Because of that, doors started opening for me, and I asked for help, and I learned from all the setbacks I experienced. It made me the person I am now. I am enjoying every small moment in life and I'm grateful.

BC: What are some the best vacations you've ever taken? And if not, what is a destination you would love to travel to in the future?

KR: Texas. Good old Texas and it has to be hands down one of my favorite vacations I have taken of all time. My oldest brother lives there and he honestly picked one of the best places to live. Texas is such a huge, vibrant city. If I'm being honest, they're so many things to do there. There are also many helpful, kind, and welcoming people there. You receive positive energy once you step foot in that place. I would not mind living in Texas. Houston, Texas to be exact. Sometime soon, I would love to travel to California, or even Puerto Rico since I do not remember my early life there.

BC: If you could meet any YouTuber, who would it be and why? How inspirational or influential has this YouTuber been for you.

KR: That's a tough one for me. I would say Markaplier or FaZe Jev, two completely separate human beings. I would love to meet Jev because he's one of my favorites of all time. I never missed a single upload from him, and I always check his Twitter account to see if he'll be uploading a new video. Jev is mostly a Call Of Duty player than a Horror Game player, but he does have his fair share of experience playing horror games. I remember watching his 1million subscriber video, and the happiness he expressed during that moment brought him tears of joy. I cried when he cried because I felt a connection with him and the dedication he puts into his channel. His video made motivated me to continue my channel.

As for Markiplier, he's the reason why I got more into horror games. I remember watching him play the first Five Nights at Freddy's to the last one he played. Mark is a person I also look up to, he has a personality like no other, and he's hilarious. I also love him because he believes the world has the potential to be a better place. He has donated thousands of dollars to charity. He does everything, from making short films to putting smiles on people's faces, and that's why I love him. He motives me to keep going and to follow my dreams.

BC: If you could choose a theme song for your gaming channel, what song would it be and why? How does this song connect to your personal life?

KR: I say I'll choose "Crowns" by Cayman Cline. "Crowns" is in one of my intros. Also, the song tells a story and his story is similar to mine where people where doubted him. He went through to struggles in his life, he took the negative feedback and turned into a positive outcome, which is something I'm currently doing. His life got better once his career took off and he rose to the top. He told all the haters they gave him the motivation for him to boldly put on his crown. I can not wait to put on my crown and show people that their negative thoughts or feedback will not keep me from reaching my goal.
