Erycka Ortiz returns with her new single, "Blue Monday" – Ugh, those nostalgic feels again.
The single, produced by Ortiz, touches on an unnamed subject, who after partying all-weekend realizes the start to their weekend is not so exciting and they're feeling blue, hence the title Blue Monday. The title track pulls inspiration from Ortiz's past experiences using substances and partying on the weekend to distract herself from personal problems.
Singing on the track Ortiz boldly sings:
"I'll be f**ked up by Monday, staying home on Tuesday. Call my friends up on a Wednesday just to hear what they say. On Thursday it's hearsay, I think I wanna be alone. And now it's Friday, and I just got baked go to the bar 'cause it's my parade."
“I am blessed to have real support publicly and privately,” Ortiz wrote in a post. The song was written, produced, engineered, and mastered by Ortiz.
